The month started out with a fun project of making bird seed cakes for Freedom in Christ Assembly in Baraboo. Their kids’ group, “Freedom Kids”, will hang them up in trees around the area. Though the weather was warm, there were times that The Gardening Club could get out and weed the vegetable and flower beds. One of the joys of summer! Another joy of summer is eating fresh vegetables, and the Creative Cooking Group made a delicious summer salad of broccoli, cucumbers and fresh herbs. The kiddos from SSM Health Tommy Bartlett Center came and entertained us by playing with bean bags, hula hoops and drawing masterpieces with sidewalk chalk; and Volunteer Kathy and her therapy dog, Murphy, also visited bringing love and snuggles.
