What a month we had in September! National Assisted Living Week was the 7-13th and there were special events to recognize residents and staff! The theme was “Ageless Adventure”, and Grandparents Day kicked off the festivities with Fairy Tales & Family Day. There was also Wild West Day, Passport to Adventure Day where folks “visited” five different countries, and a Wilderness Wonders Day with a tent and campfire songs. The Vesperman Farms ice cream truck brought treats for everyone, and there were dress-up days and prizes for staff. The month ended with the annual Merrimac Picnic – amazing weather, music, dancing and pontoon rides on Lake Wisconsin – and lunch out at River’s Edge in Lake Delton.
