September 10th-16th is National Assisted Living Week, and there were many special events planned. There were prizes, treats and special dress up days like Old Fashioned Day, Pajama Day and Beach Day. Residents had a talent show/show & tell, built sand castles and played “Beach Volleyball” with noodles! There was also special entertainment and the ice cream truck from Vesperman Farms in Lancaster brought delicious treats for everyone! Towards the end of the month, folks enjoyed a wonderful day at Merrimac Memorial Park, joining two other ElderSpn-managed residences for a picnic lunch, bingo, music and delightful pontoon boat rides.
