Senior ladies view the solar eclipse with safety glasses

April had its share of special days, starting with an amazing Solar Eclipse Watch Party! Many folks didn’t recall ever seeing one before, so it was quite exciting to put on safety glasses and see this rare phenomenon. April is also Volunteer Appreciation Month, so residents put together a gift basket for each of our precious volunteers. Earth Day was celebrated by making Earth Day flags with hemp and natural paint pigments, and folks kept bodies and minds active and engaged with a pet therapy visit, playing board games, balloon volleyball and charades. Meadow View folks took the ferry across Lake Wisconsin and went for a spin around the South Shore of Devil’s Lake. All the April birthdays were celebrated with Rum Punch and a rousing game of Farkle, and the beautiful weather meant folks could start working in the raised garden getting some seedlings planted. The joys of spring! To view photos, please click on the web album link below.
